Dad was a simple man. Working his fingers to the bone from the time he was 15 until he was admitted into the hospital at 61 years old. He never sat idle, He never asked for a favor, and never wanted recognition or attention. 7 years ago my dad who wanted nothing to do with god, finally gave his life to the lord. Although he was not a perfect man, but he became a changed man. the last 2 1/2 months we watched you decline so fast in the hospital. It all happened so fast. But the Lord knew what he was doing. I am thankful that your grandkids and I got to minister to you daily and care for you.
I watched you firsthand suffer day in and day out. I saw you never complain (besides the food). Never give up. Never be mean. Never want pity.
But rather, care about everyone else and pretend everything was ok.
15 years ago, you were given 6 months to live. But God.
Fast forward 15 years... In 6 months From the time we got dad a custom bible for his birthday until his last day here on earth, i personally watched God perform a full restoration in your life and in our family. You are a walking testimony that although we will suffer in this life, to never give up. You never gave up dad you fought hard until your last breath. You were selfless and a man of integrity.
Dad’s testimony is proof that it’s not too late to change, not too late to be forgiven, not too late to forgive, not too late to be saved. The bible says God breathed life into adam. If there is still God given breath in your lungs, it is not too late.
You stepped up and raised me, and you'll forever be..my dad.
We were blessed to have you.
